20+ client projects in operations, marketing, industrial goods and financial institutions. Directed BCG's largest internal transformation: a new visual communication system, rolled out simultaneously to 15,000 people worldwide.
WIND Mobility, COO & CMO 2018
Turnaround and European scaling of a shared-mobility startup: KPI systems, standardized service operations, rebrand. 7x growth in rides, 30% lower operating costs, city launches in 4 countries.
Atlantic Labs, Head of Studio 2020–2021
Designed and ran the venture studio. Helped originate and launch concepts that became 10 funded startups (incl. Kadmos, SureIn).
150 Minuten, Co-Founder 2021–2025
Built an AI-driven health platform for people the fitness industry overlooks. Raised €2.2M, led a 20-person team, pivoted from D2C to B2B with first DAX customers. The first enterprise contracts came, but they came too late for a funding climate that had frozen long before. We then ran a structured, transparent wind-down. The discipline of deciding to stop is undervalued.
Today
Independent. I work with growing companies as interim COO: 4 to 5 days a week for 4 to 9 months. The way in is often the operational diagnostic sprint. How we work together →
How I work
- Listen, analyze, recommend. Advice without context can be completely off.
- Systems over heroes. If results hang on individuals, the system isn't done yet.
- Structure is care. Hard situations get less hard when someone thought them through.
Education
Dr.-Ing. in technology and innovation management (TU Berlin). Diplom in industrial engineering (electrical engineering, TU Darmstadt). Exchange year at the University of Illinois.
Off the clock
Drummer and vocalist in a Berlin indie cover band (bandleader habits die hard), endurance sports, movies, family. Music reminds me that the best teams, on stage or in a startup, run on trust, timing, and people who actually listen to each other.
